Scott Draves, who worked at Ephraim Pottery in Wisconsin, was one of the founders of Door Pottery, also in Wisconsin, in 2001. This massive vase bears his signature, so you know he, and not one of the other Door potters, was the maker. It echoes the style of T. J. Wheatley, an early 20th-century maker in the Arts and Crafts style. It features a dragonfly design and is approximately 15” tall. It is one of only four made in this size: Draves swore that he would never again make a piece this big. He has since used the design, but scaled it down. SOLD.
