Henry Gilbert Foote (1896-1986) circa 1930s woodcut entitled “Ranchos de Taos” c1930s.  Born in Texas and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Foote studied at the Chicago Art Institute during the '20's and '30's.  He worked as a commercial artist and lived in West Chicago, Illinois, 

This eight color woodcut depicts a typical adobe style home in northern New Mexico, complete with vigas, small portal, turquoise trimmed windows and rain gutters. It is signed and titled in pencil and printed on Japan paper. Price: $750
